Overview
This study program has no analogues in Lithuanian and regional (Latvia, Estonia, Poland) higher education institutions. The Master in Cyber Security Management program is designed to train highly qualified professionals who understand, implement, deliver, manage and coordinate cyber security. Cyber security management is a special activity that requires highly qualified and interdisciplinary knowledge. The program has an interdisciplinary approach in order to understand and explore cyber security in a variety of aspects, from technical, managerial to legal.
All these aspects bring out the systematic and integrated understanding of cyber security risks and allows to organize the management of these risks.
Career opportunities
Cyber Security Management is a credible stakeholder level that includes the provision of a Cyber Security Management system to the public and the private sectors. Having acquired relevant competencies (decision making, cybersecurity project management, etc.), graduates will be able to work st public sector structures and business firms.
Potential employers are public authorities or businesses that manage key electronic data (public authority security and IT departments, business institutions risk management departments, IT departments, etc.). Graduates will have an opportunity to build and run their own companies through cybersecurity services or consulting.
Graduates will successfully be able to work as data protection officers – such work position from 2018 May 25th is mandatory under the new EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR or BDAR).
Currently our graduates are working at international IT companies and various organizations.
